10 Ways To Combat Burnout Blogging
Blogging

Blogging consists of a wide variety of activities, from writing to driving traffic to interacting with visitors. In the long run, these activities create a feeling of boredom. Do you feel it? In that case, you can try one or more of the following ten ways to combat blogging burnout.

1. At least one day off per week

Boredom is usually caused by routine. To counteract this, you must provide at least one day off per week, e.g. B. Saturday or Sunday.

Forget all things blog related during the vacation. Also, disconnect your cell phone from the Internet so that emails don't interfere with your vacation. Your goal is to recharge your mental and physical “batteries” so that you can blog with good persistence for the next week.

To do this, you can:

  • Visit tourist attractions inside or outside your city
  • Check out the latest movies in theaters
  • Take a walk to the mall (mall)

2. Join the local blogger community

Joining a community of bloggers or marketers in your city can also combat the boredom of blogging. Such communities generally have certain activities, such as B. hang out together, get together weekly, or hold monthly social events.

Another benefit is that you can share ideas or experiences with friends in the community. By sharing thoughts or experiences, it is not impossible for you to get new ideas or to keep projects together.

What if you don't have a blogging community with you? There is no other way, you have to build it gradually. The first step could be teaching your friends who don't already know how to blog.

3. Read books on blog topics

Reading books on the topic of your blog is an effective way to overcome the boredom of blogging. You can do this an hour before bed at night, after lunch, or a few hours on your day off (if you are lazy about going out).

Reading books will expand your knowledge so that you can apply them to your blog. Remember, learning doesn't have to stop after you graduate from school or college.

4. Exercise regularly

Another way to deal with burnout is to exercise regularly, such as walking in the morning every day, participating in a fitness program three times a week, playing badminton twice a week, or playing soccer on the weekends. Exercising will keep your body fit because it burns calories.

In terms of exercise, I get used to running for 30 minutes in the morning every day (around 5 a.m.). Aside from not having to pay for it, morning walking is easy too and the air you breathe is still fresh.

5. Perform experiments

Blogging Boredom Another step to overcoming blogging boredom is to experiment with new things. This activity will excite you because of your curiosity about the results obtained.

The form of the experiment can be different, for example:

  • Use social media when you have relied on search engine visitors
  • Change the look and feel of your blog; B. Change the color and font size, change the location and size of the ad, and replace the theme or template with a more appealing theme
  • Conducting case studies, e.g. B. Creating a private blog network to optimize your blog, creating a new blog on a topic you are not good at or promoting it to increase your income.

6. Create a challenge for yourself

If you challenge yourself, you can also overcome the boredom of blogging. This challenge is generally done for 30 days (30-day challenge) to convert bad habits into good ones.

For example, one of your bad habits is checking your earnings or blog rankings several times a day. To get rid of this unproductive habit, challenge yourself for the next 30 days by checking your income or ranking only once a week, e.g. B. only on Sunday afternoons.

These activities give you free time that you can use for positive purposes, such as B. to search for ideas for contributions or to search for writing topics to be created.

7. Invite friends over for coffee together

Another step against the boredom of blogging is to invite your friends over for coffee together. To be effective, this activity is done on a Wednesday afternoon or evening. Why? Because Wednesday is the middle of the working day when your stamina starts to decline.

Remember, don't invite friends who are apathetic about your blogging activities. This is important because the purpose of coffee with you is to relax or share experiences, not arguing.

8. Limit your online time

The easiest way to avoid boredom blogging is to limit your online time. To do this, answer the following questions:

  • How many hours are you online per day?
  • What are you doing online
  • When will you be online
  • What tasks did you do online?

Knowing the answers to these four questions can help rearrange your time online so that it is more productive. For example, if your online time is 4 hours a night and most of your time is spent on unproductive things (like checking your Facebook friends' status updates), you can reduce that time to 3 hours. After that, disconnect the internet and fall asleep.

Personally, my online time is two hours. In fact, I work 6 hours a day (Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). However, four hours are spent writing various articles or e-books.

Also, over the past month, I've made a habit of not working at night. I usually meet up with my family at night, watch TV entertainment, or read books. Then I go to bed before midnight so I can get up early.

9. Create an annual holiday

If the weekly break is not enough, you can take the year off. For example, a week off if your children are out of school (if you have a family) or end of year vacation if you are not married. As with a weekly vacation, the goal is to recharge your mental and physical "batteries". For example, for the past two years, I have always had two weeks annual vacation, namely to return to Sumedang during the oath.

10. Give yourself credit

The last way is to reward yourself when the goal is achieved. These awards are not trophies or awards, but in the form of fun things for you. For example, after you've written and published two posts per day (the daily goal is met), you can have fun by going to Faceb
